DOCa Rioja Grand Tasting 2023

ORLANDO, FLORIDA • SEPTEMBER 13, 2023

The DOCa Rioja and over 60 Rioja wineries held a Grand Tasting event that showcased the depth of Spain’s premier winemaking region. Attendees had the chance to sample indigenous grape varietals, understand diverse winemaking philosophies, try new wine blends, and experience limited releases as well as library wines. Throughout the afternoon, guests sampled more than 300 wines produced across the three subregions of Rioja and enjoyed small bites reflective of Spain’s traditional cuisine.

Alongside the Grand Tasting, expert sommeliers from Guildsomm led three Rapid Rioja sessions, following a Rioja Master Class by Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein. The event celebrated Spain’s finest and provided an opportunity for guests to discern the nuances of world-class winemaking.
