On Wednesday, October 15, from 6–8 PM, the Instituto Cervantes in New York will host a special evening in celebration of the centennial of Rioja’s Appellation of Origin. This milestone marks a century of dedication to excellence, heritage, and innovation in winemaking. The event will feature a Rioja panel discussion, conducted by Professor Helio San Miguel, offering a thoughtful reflection on Rioja’s past, present, and future. The tasting will highlight six distinguished Rioja wines, followed by a selection of Spanish aperitifs, bringing the culture of the region to life. Seats are limited. Join us in honoring Rioja’s 100-year journey of quality, history, and passion.

While the twenties are no longer roaring, Bodegas Bilbaínas still is. Founded in 1901, it’s the longest-standing bottling winery in all of Rioja.
