Rioja Takes Center Stage at Del Mar Food & Wine Fest

Rioja had a big night in San Diego. As the sponsoring wine of the Del Mar Wine + Food Festival, DOCa Rioja headlined Rioja Uncorked — an intimate, sold-out dinner at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa that paired eleven Rioja wines with a course-by-course tasting menu from the resort’s culinary team.
From a barrel-fermented Monopole alongside Comté gougères to a closing Heras Cordón Expresión Gran Reserva with dark chocolate crèmeux, the night put Rioja’s range front and center for one of Southern California’s most affluent culinary audiences — another strong data point for the region’s continued momentum in the U.S. market.
The dinner was part of Rioja’s broader presence at Del Mar, which also included the Rioja Lounge at the festival’s Grand Tasting — two touchpoints, one consistent message: Rioja is showing up where the trade’s customers already are.
