100 Days of Rioja | Week Two 2021

100 Days of Rioja - Week Two 2021
Vina Bujanda Reserva 2014

Deep purple with garnet highlights, this wine shows deep, spicy aromas of blueberries, leather, mocha, and cacao. On the palate, it shows round tannins, crisp acidity, and a balanced body.

Pair this wine with juicy steaks, lamb chops, and beef kebab.

Finca Nueva Crianza 2016

The gourmand red 2016 Crianza has notes of candied fruit and sweet spices, an updated classical profile, and a tender palate with juicy fruit and fine tannins. This is approachable, tasty, and easy to drink with its nice freshness and a dry finish. It’s polished and very drinkable with good ripeness. It matured in a mix of 50/50 American and French barrels for one year.

Bodegas Sonsierra Reserva Pagos de la Sonsierra Reserva 2014

An intense red-ruby color, brilliant and deep. To the nose, clean, potent, complex aromas stand out, with hints of spices and fine wood. Complex and long in the mouth, with a good structure and balance between alcohol and well-polished tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with lingering fruity notes.
