Get TicketsInstituto Cervantes in New York is proud to host a special evening dedicated to the centennial celebration of the Rioja Designation of Origin, one of Spain’s most prestigious and historic wine regions. This commemorative event will bring together leading voices from the world of Spanish wine for an insightful panel discussion followed by a curated wine tasting experience.
The evening will feature distinguished guests including Pablo Álvarez, CEO of Tempos Vega Sicilia; Jesús Madrazo, renowned Rioja winemaker; and Víctor Ordóñez, representative of Bodegas Muga. The conversation will be conducted by Helio San Miguel, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the legacy, innovation, and future of Rioja wines through the perspectives of some of its most influential figures.
Following the panel, guests will enjoy a guided tasting of select Rioja wines, highlighting the diversity, quality, and character that have defined the region over the past century.
A selection of Spanish cuisine will be served to accompany the tasting experience.
This event is made possible with the support of the Rioja D.O. and the Trade Commission of Spain in New York, whose collaboration underscores the cultural and economic significance of Spanish wine in the international arena.
The celebration will take place on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Instituto Cervantes New York, located at 211 East 49th Street, New York, NY 10017.
